You will receive a password and account designation upon completing the registration process. WOMCY also automatically receives and records information from your browser, including your IP address and information transmitted by cookies and similar technologies. This information is automatically recorded and will not be connected with your personal information by WOMCY for any reason.
For donors, payment information is not collected or stored on our servers. All payment and credit card information for transactions with us is entered directly into third-party processors’ systems. All credit card transactions on this site are processed by PayPal, Inc. and Square.
Eventbrite is the event management platform we use to create and manage our events and actions open to members and the general public. All registrations made on this platform are the responsibility of Eventbrite. This means we cannot guarantee or intervene in the way the company handles data and implements its Privacy Policy. We use our best efforts to ensure it is fair, transparent, adequate, and secure, in accordance with the terms of use presented to us.
When you sign up for a WOMCY event using the Eventbrite website, your registration will remain on the platform after the event, as data processing by Eventbrite follows its own rules. WOMCY only defines the necessary information in the Registration Form and collects, stores, and processes this data to properly manage the event, meet expectations, and fulfill our commitment to quality in the events for which you have registered.

Other third-party tools, including but not limited to Teams, Telegram, WhatsApp, and various online communication platforms and social networks such as LinkedIn, operate under their own data processing rules, legal notices, privacy policies, and data protection measures. When selecting any of these channels for interaction and communication with WOMCY, members/data subjects do so at their own discretion and assume full responsibility for their choice.
WOMCY does not interfere with or mandate the use of any specific communication channels, including work groups, social networks, or other online platforms. The choice to use such means for interaction and communication with WOMCY is entirely at the discretion of the member/data subject. Members must be aware of and understand the risks, issues, or concerns associated with each site or software. If a member does not agree with the terms and conditions set forth by the companies operating these platforms, they are free to opt for alternative methods of communication.

When joining WOMCY, Members can choose to include their contact information via social media, WhatsApp, email to our Member email communications and newsletter lists. You can manage your email preferences, including joining and leaving workgroups, member communities, and special interest group communications, by emailing [email protected]
Each promotional event or related communication we send contains instructions and an opt-out link. Unless you consent (opt-in) to receiving commercial or marketing emails, we will not use your email address for such purposes. You can always change your email preferences by visiting our member portal and clicking on the preferences page.
